Focus on trees in new recording

Apple Green Orchestra’s latest recording features South Africa’s magnificent trees. The orchestra plays a movement from Darius Milhaud’s “Saudades di Brasil”, written in 1920. Darius Mihaud was a “modernist” composer, who experimented with melody that didn’t have to accommodate other instruments playing at the same time. The Apple Green Orchestra played the piece at a live concert as part of the Johannesburg International Mozart Festival, 2020. The Orchestra was led by Camelia Onea, and directed by Tim Roberts. The music was recorded by Nicholas Horsten.
